  1. You choose, grow up now or later.  Its your life to s***w up, so tell your parents you just didn't fit in.  You need a place that clicks with who you are not just a place to make a buck.  If you lie to your parents its a lot worse then quitting a job.  Find a new one quick then tell them "I NEW GOT A NEW JOB!

  2. Do you not want to work there anymore?? If not, I would consider politely telling JCPenney that you made a mistake, and could you have your job back?

Otherwise, just sit down with your parents, and calmly explain what you did, and why you did. Tell them how you know you made a huge mistake, and regret it, and are very disappointed in yourself.

Or, since you are wanting to act like you got fired, then say something such as the people at JCPenney said that they are overstaffed and have to cut back on payroll because the sales are low.

But really? You should be honest with them. It will show how regretful you are, and will probably make it a lot easier. They could find out you lied, and you could get into huge trouble.

  3. I know you don't want to hear this but - What you did wasn't professional or responsible.  If you want to grow up, do the right thing.  Tell your parents you made a mistake, you regret quitting and that you've already started looking for a new job.  It's just going to be harder, if you don't come clean.

Is there any chance of getting your job at penney's back?  If so, give it a try.  If not, start pounding the pavement again.

If you get upset at work, take a break if you have to.  Go in the restroom and cool down for a couple of minutes. You don't say why you quit, I'm just guessing you got upset and quit.

Good luck.  It's not the end of the world.  You made a mistake, we all have.  You can bounce back, too.

  4. Do you think they'll NEVER find out?  What's worse?  Finding out your kid quit a job (and realized they made a mistake) ... or finding out your kid quit a job and lied about it?

If you don't think telling the truth is a good thing to do you have bigger problems than foolishly quitting a good job.

How about asking for your job back?
