We are just getting done with our community theme, in which we did a field trip to a local organic diary farm. I'd like to do a field trip that's local, but I'd love any and all ideas! Thanks!

  1. Why not try a playground, and find out which equipment the children all like best

  2. The ZOO because every animal has his own personalty and something spacial about him.

    HOPE I HELPED!!!

  3. I don't now if there are any carnivals going on, but most of the time they have a house of mirrors- kids love looking at themselves in the funny mirrors and you can ask them how they look different than they normally do in the fun mirrors versus a regular mirror. You can also do a show and tell or a family day.

  4. The aquarium. because every fish is special in their own way just like the kids.

  5. -Fire Station visit-they will ether come to you or you can visit them-have a sit on the fire engine, look around station, try on hat etc. It's part of "people who help us" really but can be linked to 'i am special'.

-Local park-see the area they live in, their community etc...what do they see whilst on the walk...their home, their shops etc.

-Do local childrens centre hold any events, any music classes that you can take them too-nothing says "I am Special" more than learning a new skill or showing off a talent!
