What is a good fighting technique/style in MMA for an ex-boxer?

  1. The best fighting technique in MMA is to learn other forms of other arts.

    Sure boxing helps.... not on the ground or when you 2 are clinching.

    try learning some Brazilian Jujitsu and a form of kick boxing (Chinese San Shao, Muay Thai, Western Kick Boxing) ... they're all good.

    THEN! THEN! you'll be good. or you can just do it the n00b way and take the MMA class at a mma gym.


  2. 1st off you shouldn't even be in there, but if you plan on competing always go with what you were tought. it'd be a foolish move to try anything else. the key is to keep your stance, any kicks thrown should easily be blocked anytime you get rushed just side step and attack your opponent, anytime you're in a grapple situation be patient and not try to wrestle with a potentially trained grappler. eventually you'll get you chance to let your hands go and when you do just rip 1's-4's but the sport is not meant for boxers but with luck and patience you can still be a threat.
