Question:

What is a good fighting weight for me?

i am about 5'7" and i want to get really buff but not TOO big that i become stubby and can't fight. i go to the gym a lot too, and take protein shakes, but what weight should i go for or what could i do to get huge and still be fast and look nicely toned??

  1. it depends on your body type mike tyson was 5"9 230 pounds and we know what he could do so try out what weight you feel best at and go for it


  2. 145-150 would be the top end.....at 5 11 my Army fighting weight was 170

  3. im 5'6 i fight in the 119 to 127 class i work out alittle but just to build more speed and power and to condition my muscle so they wont die out on me in a fight . i dont want to get huge becuz in my weight big muscles wont help and mike tyson was 5'11 not 5'9

  4. Ripper is close, but I think you're probably a bit too short for even a super welterweight. I'd say 147, tops, but even then you'd be average height at best. That's not to say you couldn't compete (that's about the same height as Mosley and Cotto), just that you'd have a greater edge at a weight of 140 or below.
