What is a good first car that: is a sedan, good gas, nice interior, and under $8000?

So far the the cars im contemplating are 1998-2001 audi a4

infiniti g20 (1999-2001), mazda6 (any) and perhaps a pontiac sunfire above 2000

the infiniti g20 would be good for you because it is a japanese car (meaning it will last forever) and it will be very stylish unlike some toyota or honda sedan. the audi a4's are really cool great cars especially if you get one with awd, the only thing with them is that they tend to have electrical problems. mazda6's are great cars that last amazingly long for an american made car (thats right mazda's are american made now, ford bouaght them out.) they are also really cool looking and fast. the only one I can tell you defidently NOT to get is the pontiac.

get any toyota sedan because toyota seems to do good in gas.  if not, try a honda civic because they seem to get good mpg too.  but from the looks of it, you aren't asian and don't want to buy a japanese import...... but to tell you the truth, the g20 is like a nissan sentra se-r since they have the same motor, but i don't know about the gas tank size.

get a honda accord or civic i had a civic that had 297000 miles on it and it still ran like a champ when i sold to a girl in my church she still drives it to this day and it has over 305000 on it all she has done was change the belts and recharge the a/c, plus the usual maintenace

You clearly want something stylish, so I won't waste your time with Toyota or Honda.  Of the ones you listed I would personally go with the Mazda.  They have a great track record as far as reliability, and it will give you the most bang for your buck out of the options you listed.

I suggest you get anything toyota... will last you a lifetime... camry preferably.  it should fit your price range! =)

The Mazda 6 will last the longest, so get that one.

Chevy Cobalt is a good choice.  If you like a Sunfire, the Cobalt is an extension of that.  Pontiac version is the G5.  Best price is on Ebay because there are a lot of people competing.
