What is a good first sportbike?

I am 17 6`0 feet tall and wiegh about 150. I would like to know what would be a good first bike. I have already took motorcycle safety class and riding classes. Please give me a couple of choices?

Any reasonable second hand 250cc bike..

ride it for 6 months gain some road knowledge,  tradeit in on a better bike(if you dont write it off)..

A 1200 Harley Sportster or a Harley Softtail would be good for you height and weight. Hope this helps : )

On a more serious note, I'm 6 2" 180 and I bought a 92 fzr 600 as my first bike and I have no problem with it being too powerful.  It's really fast but not too fast, I would recommend you do the same thing, just buy an older 600 to learn on then later on buy a bigger and or newer bike.  My next bike will either be a gsxr 750 or a 1000 sport bike.

BTW skittles those aren't sport bikes, those are lead bricks painted gold.
