What is a good fish?

i am 13 and i was wondering what fish to get and i have a 24-30 gallon tank and was wondering what is the best medium sized fish for it also which type of water temperature?

i'd say get some guppies, but instead of just saying that, im gonna provide some more info on why you should get them. first of all, they can live in like any water condition, though they provide about 78 degrees normally, the babies (which you will get lots of) prefer 86 degrees to grow faster, and to breed and really set the mood its 82 degrees for the male and female. ok now for the breeding. youve heard of people getting tired of their fish dying in a couple months and them having to new ones. guppies arent like that. guppies are very disease resistant because they originate in south america in small streams or ponds where any water condition is fine for them. they also live a very long time, but depending on how low the temperature is will make their life be a lot longer. i have some guppies that are 2 years old! and if something unfortunate happens say a couple guppies die, they are reproducing so fast, they will replace their unfortunae brothers and sisters. the only very small downside is you may need a couple extra tanks if you want to keep them all. otherwise you can sell them to a local pet store where they will gladly take them in exchange for money, or store credit where you can get free pet supplies to support your guppy breeding "addiction" that it may soon become. guppies are also very colorful. the males tend to have smaller bodies but bigger more colorful tails, as the females have much larger bodies (especially when their pregnant) shorter less colorful tails. definitely keep them, becuase they are the future to guppies that are soon to come. the females give birth to 30-50 guppies, however many are eaten by the parents and other fish. to prevent this you should get aquarium plants. i hope you found this information helpful, and BEST ANSWER PLEASE! i hope you can tell that this answer blew the others out of the water : ) good luck with the guppies i hope you are soon to get, and happy breeding!

we had about40 guppies but that got pretty boring. try clownfish like nemo or those typr of fish that eat allgy. there are huge goldys and minut6ure blow fish too. i have one beta but u cant put two together. try going to petco.com.

you want aggressive fish or no?

I always enjoy cichlids, they are brilliantly colored and they like to occasionally eat lesser fish.  they can get decently sized too.   water temp between 75-78, pretty easy to keep

I would suggest guppies, neon tetras, and platies. That will give you some easy fish to begin with and they are also very pretty and bright colors. : )

They need a temperature of about 75-80 degrees F.

They eat regular flake food. The guppies and platies are livebearers which means they don't lay eggs. They just have their babies. It's always fun to raise the babies up to be adults. I would purchase either a plastic or a net trap if you want to do this.

if you dont already have the tank established then you should go with more hardy fish like mollys and swordtails until ur amonia spike is done with... the tank should be kept at 80... these fish will only get at about 3-4 inches though...

XD u should reallie ask a fish store and research online cause we have a pond and lots of goldfish and koi fish we use to didn't have to take care of them but as they got bigger and more came the algae came less and it was harder for them to breath ^^ now we have to buy fish food and air bubbles make sure u pay attention to them and fish dont have a long time memory thing so they will forget if they ate r not so over feeding them will get them sick and die if u dont take care of them i would reccomend u get a beta fighting fish ^^ in a small little bowl
