Question:

What is a good food for an adult guppy and her babies?

I have a guppy that will have babies soon and I was wondering what I should feed the adult and what I should feed the babies. I am currently feeding the adults (dad/mom) tropical flakes. They eat them like no tomorrow. Should I mix in some live food? I have had one litter of guppies with this pair and all the babies died. I think that is because they wouldn't eat any food. Any advice on a good baby guppy food?

Thanks a lot!

  1. You should just feed them the tropical flakes. Just crunch them up and feed them it. I use Tetra Min flakes. They work fine as long as you crunch them.

  2. brine shrimp is a healthy and nutritious diet for your guppies. it's helps them grow and be strong.

  3. Well, it is best to feed the prego one frozen or live bloodworms, brineshrimp, mysis shrimp, real meaty foods. They will go wacko over them! Also, baby fish have the instinct to eat live food. So you should probably get either some baby brine shrimp to feed as live food or micro worms and I think you will have a higher survival rate!

  4. I just feed them crushed Tropical fish flake food and occasionally some sinking pellets and crushed up blood worms and they do fine. We bought baby fish food once and it's good for them so I would get that also.

    A$H!

  5. feed the babies tetramin(baby) it is a ground powder ideal for all babies under 1 cm it is a well balanced nutrition u feed them 2-3 times a day i also use this for all my babies  hope this helps u out
