Cons: A very sluggish update

I advise against Norton anti-virus, it's bloated software that slows your computer down. The best anti-virus available is Kaspersky or NOD32 (recent tests at av-comparatives.org).

Go with avast.But make sure you register it.Cost nothing just a email address.Then they send you a key.Then use that key for 1 year.When that's up reregister again.It's nothing to secure a home pc.Where they charge is if you are a corporate user.ie company with multiple servers.
