What is a good game I can play for a computer?

Question

I love most types of game especially RPG's. I want a game that you don't have to play monthly for. MMORPG's and MMOG's are my favorite but I still love single player games. I would prefer games that have stuff you can level up or you can choose you class and stuff along those lines, but I am open to all suggestions. Thanks for you help in advanced!

A good Pc game is Starcraft. although its been almost a decade since this came out, its still one of the most awesome strategy games you can ever buy. (be sure to buy the 2nd starcraft!!!!!) A good RPG is Maple Story. Its for free and its freekin awesome. you can choose between 3 classes... think of it as Final Fantasy online... without having to pay a fee like warcraft

I would try Elder Scrolls:Oblivion, The Lord of the Ring:The Battle for Middle Earth, or one of the Total War games. Diablo 2 is a good choice also but its old so if you are conscious about graphics it's not a good choice; you can get it for a good price from Wal Mart or Gamestop.

As far as MMORPG's go, most have a monthly subscription fee (WoW for example) but some will let you play for free up to a certain point, Runescape is one such game, but another i find to be much better is the space-based Star Sonata (www.starsonata.com), which is free to download and free to play up to level 20

I like Team Fortress 2, It's the best First person shooter you can buy for a PC but it's only online play. You can get different weapons by doing achievements. It is highly customizable and valve is almost constantly making new updates for it. It also only cost 20 bucks if you buy it separately or you can buy it with the Orange box, along with Half life 2, HL2 episode 1, HL2 episode 2, and Portal. (EVERY GAME IN THE ORANGE BOX IS AWESOME) Just make sure you have a good enough graphics card to play it.

if you're ok with downloading programs, theres HEAPS of options that are free

http://www.freemmorpglist.com/ will have a lot of options, some being free, some not... If you look hard enough you'll easily find something that suits you exactly
