I need to categorise all the games like 9-ball, snooker, pool, billiards, and ALL variations of the games under one name. What should I call it?

Someones already done that...the generic name for all those games is....POOL!

You ask you your friends-Do you want to shoot some pool?  Then you go to a Billiard Parlor or Pool Hall and play.

Cue sports is a good general term.  More officially though, they&#039;re all under the World Confederation of Billiard Sports, which is the international governing body and reports to international agencies such as the International Olympic Committee.
