  2. I've got just the thing.  If you want something that he will absolutely love and use 18 times a round of golf and never tire of it!!

Get him a GPS for golf.  It will give him the exact distances to his target from anywhere on the course.  His game will improve dramatically the more he uses it.

It is the sort of gift a golfer (me) would love but not really think of buying himself.

He doesnt need to be technically minded either.

The link in the source box takes you to a table which has recommendations based on budget.

    Man he's gonna love you.

  3. I've seen a friend use this before. A little weird, but it was cool.

  4. A gift card, while seemingly impersonal, is actually a great choice for a golfer. So much of a golfer's equipment needs to "feel right" to that individual. Clubs (especially drivers and putters) and golf shoes in particular, but tees, balls, and even apparel can be distracting if they aren't exactly what one is used to playing with. If you have any doubts, go with a gift card and let them figure out what they need.

A golfer who has everything equipment-wise will still appreciate free golf. How about paying for a round at a local course that you know they really like, or that they've never played?

You could also offer to pay for lessons, or for buckets at a local driving range. Some may be offended by the lessons offer, and members of most courses get driving range privilages, so that might not work either.

If you really need something for them to unwrap, here are a few products that are a little off the beaten path:

It's a Breeze Golf Cart Portable Fairway Fan - if you know they ride more than they walk, here's a fan to keep them cool: http://www.rockbottomgolf.com/19iabfwyfa...

Smooth Draw Portable Cigar Humidor - many golfers enjoy a cigar or three on the course; this humidor keeps them fresh and unbroken in a golf bag: http://www.rockbottomgolf.com/bent-grass...

Books & DVDs - your golfer might enjoy reading or watching about their favorite Tour pros, or find a "Tips & Techniques" item that they think will help them on the course: http://www.rockbottomgolf.com/books-dvd-...

    Best of luck!

  5. Golf ball license plate cover.

  6. A gift card

  7. golf balls are the best way to go. if i have money to spend when i feel i have everything i need, i always turn to balls.

  8. My wife got me The Golf Club Umbrella - this thing is awesome.  Its a golf club and an umbrella in one.  Good price too + none of my friends have one.  www.golfclubumbrella.com

  9. I wish someone would buy me a Check-Go ball spinner. It may be gimmicky but I want one. Not something that I'd buy for myself though...*sigh*...Waiting until Christmas

  10. there's a number of things, you can never have enough golf balls, umbrella, shirt, hat, etc.

  11. Golf balls are always a good choice.  He loses them in the woods, rough and ponds, and even if he doesn't loose them, they get scuffed up, so a golfer can always use new ones.
