  2. Epoxy is you best bet

  3. Gorilla glue is the best!

  4. Certainly not Gorilla glue which requires clamping and is pale brown in color when cured and stains fingers.  While epoxy is possible, E6000 is the most common product for this with its companions from the same company called Goop (Marine Goop, Craft Goop, etc.)  Although these are often used like 100% silicone adhesive, which remains soft, they are actually contact adhesives so if you apply a bit to the brad and blob and let them sit for a short while then when you put them together, they stick immediately.   They need to sit for several hours to shed all the solvent and then the adhesive is very stiff.  E6000 in particular is rather thin (and self leveling) and has a very strong odor - you will only use it in the house once.  The Goop products each have different thicknesses and UV protections and don't smell as strong.

Many hardware and craft stores will have both.
