I am starting to golf and am in need of a driver. The driver that i have now is not accurate at all. I hook them very badly. Whenever i hit with one of my friends drivers they go pretty straight. If you could tell me a good driver that will make the ball go straight and far. Im looking for accuracy over distance. I would like the club to be around $100-$200 dollers. Thank you.

  1. i use a Nike Ignite and i absolutely LOVE it.  It has improved my tee shot a lot.  I had the same problem with my cheap drivers and when i would hit my Dad's Adams golf driver it would go straight.  I chose Nike based purely on personal preference and the ignite because it did not break the bank.

    good luck fixing the swing

  2. Go to your local d**k's Sports store.  They have last years drivers for $200 or less (new).  Check out the Cobra Speed, Callaway Big Bertha 460 and Taylor Made r7 draw and r5 draw drivers.  Nike Sasquatch/Sumo is also a good one.  Avoid Walter Hagen (junk), Titleist (designed for skilled golfers) and the Cleveland HiBore (odd looking/sounding).  Also d**k's Sports have a PGA professional on site.  Ask him/her for their opinion if you need extra help.

  3. Cleveland HiBore or the HiBore XL

    Very forgiving, high launch drivers that would work well;

  4. Taylormade 540XD with a YS-7 shaft. A very controllable, long driver with type of shaft which eliminates twisting. I got mine on ebay for $50.00 shipped. Best money I've spent on a driver. I have used more high end drivers $(Callaway, Nike ect. No match for this one. Highly recommend!

  5. check out the Big Berthas

  6. Geomax Bazooka,by Tour Edge.Brand new this driver is $199.My wife bought me one this past xmas,and man has it straightened out my drives.It's got a high M.O.I ,wich helps square the face on impact and is extremely forgiving on miss hits.I hit the ball off the toe and amazingly it still went straight.This is only my opinion.You might want to go to golf shop and demo some drivers so you can find the best one for your swing type.
