Suppose I were to do a shoot with a model for a couple hours, and end up with 100 images and print 20 of them out. What would I charge? (minus printing cost) Is there a set standard per hour of work, or how does it work?

I also may be shooting some pictures for an international ad campaign for a boot manufacturer, and was wondering what to charge for that. The ads may appear in a catalogue, and may be printed out poster size.

And I have no idea what to charge.

  1. your cost x 3

  2. Calculate any expenses you will incur.  Those have to be covered in the payment.  Then figure out what you expect to be paid hourly.  From what I've seen this varies a lot depending on what you're doing, your experience, etc.  Check with local people in the industry to see what they are charging customers for comparison to what you are doing.
