Question:

What is a good healthy yogurt to have on breakfast cereal?

I know that low-fat Greek yogurt is healthy but I find its consistency too thick, taste too bland and price too high for putting on breakfast cereal...so, could any of you kind folks recommend a brand/type of yogurt that might suit the role?

And one more question; in terms of nutrition, is it better to use a yogurt that is low in fat or low in sugar?

Thanks in advance!

  1. dannon light and fit or weight watchers yogurt.

i count calories, not fat.  if it's low cal, the fat wont be too high.  but zero fat can be laden with sugar.  sugar has no fat.

  2. I would go for yoplait

  3. yoplait.......the new ones with the seeds added,  and they taste really nice.  enjoy.

  4. Yoplait

    &

    Activia

  5. If you can find it in your area, look for honey flavored Greek yogurt.

You can add fresh or frozen fruit to your "bland" yogurt and cereal.

Here in the Seattle area the Costco stores sell a locally made Greek yogurt called "Greek Gods".

Low fat and lower sugar is the way to go.

  6. Stoneybrook Farms plain organic yogurt.  Fat free, no hormones to worry about...

  7. yoplait fat free

  8. llive pakav set yogurt from the North of the UK  69 pence a tub   the best in its price/health range.  don't get yogurt with any sugars as they are the  worst. better of with some vet in it

  9. Try Yoplait Low fat yourt.

  10. For flavour, Activia fruit and fibre.  Have that with some granola and fresh berries and it's to die for.

  11. Personally, Yoplait is the tastiest! However, yogurt is yogurt is yogurt....GO WILD!!
