  1. you can take a clear trash bag and cut leg holes in the bottom.  fill it with different colored balloons and tie a ribbon around your neck to hold the top of the bag.  then tap a "jelly belly" sign on the front.

    or...

take a twister game and cut a hole in the middle of the mat and put it over your head like a poncho.  then tie the spin board to your head like a hat and go as the twister game.

There are always the easy ones:

Cowboy (boots and hat with jeans and a button up shirt).

Doctor (scrubs with a hotel shower cap).

Olympic diver (swimsuit - can be cold in October though).

Prostitute (get a friend to make you up and gaudy, skimpy clothes).

  4. Homocidal maniac-- they look like everybody else.

There are many clever ideas for homemade Halloween costumes. Many feature thriftshop finds or stuff you would have around the house. I like the idea of Mother Nature. Get an old prom dress and sew some flowers and bugs and birds on it, Tuck some flowers in your hair and there ya go.

I also think flapper costumes from 20's are fun. Other ideas on page include ghost, clown, scarecrow, American tourist, 1960's hippies, pirate, Old Man/Old Woman, static cling, mummy and many others.

I'm sure a little imagination, you will end up with something truly awesome.

  7. You could make a box into a TV and go as You Tube.
