I am going to Sorrento at the end of Jan - what's a good hotel in the area?

A previous answer recommended this hotel: http://www.hoteltramontano.it/en_index.php.

However, it is not open until March and I need one open in January.

Thank you

  1. Look at this site and consider booking a studio/apartment/villa in the event the hotels are sold out. Many times less expensive depending on the date booked.

Such a beautiful area, have fun!

  2. hotel Michelangelo-it's right on the corso italia and only 5minutes walk to the main piazza. The hotel is well decorated and clean, the staff are very friendly and the food is amazing.I would highly recommend it.good luck!

    boun viaggio!

  3. There are relatively few hotels open in Sorrento in January since it's off season. Two of the ones that will be open are the Grand Hotel Cesare Augusto http://en.venere.com/hotels_sorrento/alt... (90 euro in late Jan) and Villa di Sorrento http://en.venere.com/hotels_sorrento/alt... (70 euro). Both are very close to the main square in Sorrento.

Note: Of the hotels suggested by others so far, the Aminta is a nice place, but not available until the 7th of February. You can check availability of the Michelangelo at: http://www.michelangelohotel.it/ (130 euro single)

  4. You can search and choose hotel information, rates and availability for free in over 200 countries world wide at my profile.

  5. We visited Sorrento last May & stayed here.

It's on the hill overlooking the town. Beautiful view. ( including Mnt Vesuvius) With shuttle buses every 1/2 hr to & from town.

It's a little upper crusty (alotta marble), but we caught it off season. We were totally please & would recommend them.
