  1. Okay when you say you have the pro skates, my eyebrow went up. Figure skates are just figure skates. If you're in the basic levels and getting expensive skates just to be proud of them, you have gotten yourself some painful feet.

Anyway, to look like a skater, wear a skirt. A simple one that matches your legwarmers, not one that clash with it. When you get your skirt, remember to get tights to go with it. The skating types, Mondor, Capezio, Danskin. Not the dance tights unless you want to wear two pairs; they are too thin.

However, most of the skater on the international level wear pants to skate when they are practising, if you go search youtube. Wear those skin tight pants. A skater usually wear form fitting clothes for her coach to see the body line. If you wear baggy clothes, they get in the way when you fall and absorb more water, pulling your clothes down. It just isn't elegant or the way of skaters.

Skate because you love it, not because you want to look the best. =)

  2. well, i'm in Beta (the 3rd level) and my mom got me an expencive figure skating outfit from Tania Bass!! she has the best clothes!!! heres a link of what she has and what my mom got me! hope this helps! (oh and never ever wear jeans!!!) or baggy clothes! b-cuz your coach needs to c where your knees and elbows are!

thats my skating shirt; oh and its like $80 because of the style of the shirt!

and i also have stetchy tight ice skating kind of thick tights that cling to your legs to keep you warm!

and this is my skirt, except mine is black!

  3. Well you can get leggings and put the leg warmers over them and then get a long shirt and a zip up sweater. or maybe you can get some nice tights and a skirt which are only like 30 or 50 dollars or maybe less. Or a nice skating dress.Im in freestyle 5 and usually wear a dress or the leggings and leg warmers.

  4. Use your legwarmers and skates (have the leg warmers come up just below your knee and all the way down to the heel of your boot).

Don't use over the boot tights if you're going to be using the leg warmers (it just looks kind of awkward).

Wear that with a plain black skating skirt, a t shirt, and a light zip up sweater for when you're practicing at the rink. Its simple, not too professional, but still lets people know you mean business ;)
