I want a pet i can play with but my dad wont let me get anything that needs a large cage.

Here is a list of pets he wont let me get. He is either allergic to them,is creeped out, or thinks they smell and/or doesnt like them.

Cats

dogs

ferret

hamster

tarantuala

And not fish. I already have like 16 of them

And i have a budget kinda. I want it live for a while, and prefferably under 50 dollars, but beggers cant be choosers so anything not on that list thats legal Ill gladly accept.

    a bird?

  3. How about a bird?

  4. If you just want a pet you can play with, you could try going to animal shelters. they will probably let you take the animals out for walks or to the park. that way you don't have to worry with the responsibility of taking care of them and you will get to have a pet to play with.

  5. Your budget Rule out tropical fish but if you can locate a second hand aquarium within your means buy some tropical fish that are live bearers. They are reasonablel priced and surely a air pump is within reason.  That will get you started. You can invest in a filter as soon as possible and tear a old pillow apart for the floss using this for a filter medium.

  6. Well, this is going out on a limb, because I'm not sure how expensive these suggestions might be (every pet store has different going rates, after all).

    Here goes...

    Hedgehog

    Chinchilla

    Rat or Mouse

    Snake

    Frog or Toad

Bird (I would suggest a parakeet or something like it, ones that can perch and climb but will be less likely to fly around. Maybe a small owl)

    Pig

That aside, where you live can make a huge difference in the kind of pet you should get. If you live in the city, I would suggest something smaller that wouldn't be able to go as far if it got loose. For the country or a suburban area, just about anything works, and bigger animals are easier to keep.

  7. a cat

  8. get a cat, they make good compansions.
