He knows nothing about programming and I don't want it to be too hard for him starting.

  1. One we are using right now is the ClickNKids Phonics.....Its an online learning game and my son loves it so far....It retails for 59.99 I think but you can get it cheaper right now thru https://www.homeschoolbuyersco-op.org/in... just click on this link or if it does not show up as a link copy and paste it....It really helps them learn where the keys are on the keyboard as well as it goes along with the lessons....

Good Luck and hope this helps..

  2. www.pbskidsgo.org/fetch, if not you can go to pbskids and go through the stories till you can find fetch with ruff ruffman

  3. funschool.com

  4. Here's one of the best:

    http://www.kidsprogramminglanguage.com/

    Here's a collection of links:

    And some LOGO links:

My son watched a Standard Deviants DVD about HTML programming, and then he went online to find code lists and made his own home page.

Here are some HTML learning sites/links:

  5. I would just spend the $80 to get a Parrelax Boe-bot kit. Your child will have fun building a working robot with a circuit board that requires no soldering, then programming the basic stamp microcontroller with PBasic 2.5.

It's a lot of fun, and you get to start coding right away, but it might be tough to transition into more object oriented languages from there, so i've heard. I've used Boe-bot, but I'm not much of a programmer.

  6. www.Homeschool.com has good sites.
