Question:

What is a good kind of bass guitar to start out with?

im just learning and i was wounerding if i have a good bass, its a fender (blue squier).

  1. I got a Yamaha bass to mess around with, I've had a lot of fun with.  No problems, solid guitar.


  2. Those are decent basses to start out on.  I prefer the Jazz basses over the Precision basses, as the necks are much easier to play.  Be patient, and practice every day if you can. If you have no musical experience whatsoever, might be worth looking into taking formal lessons.  The lessons will prevent you from learning bad habits that might hinder your playing and be difficult to change later as you progress.

    Um... Chris Squire is a player of  Rickenbacker Basses, and has his own signature model.  He is NOT a Fender or Squier player.  (different spellings too..)

  3. they get good reviews at harmony central.com and the whole d**n line was named after Chris Squire the bass player for Yes so whats that tell you
