why don't you get the children engaged with it and ask them to design something, then choose which one suits you.

I do like your idea.  But also make sure it is not someone else's registered trademark.  

I might add in the word 'educational' in your slogan as a word of empowerment.  Hooks the parent in!  A visual might focus on a square and in each corner, a child reading, writing, playing, singing-with the words Tot Spot in the center.

Tot Spot: The educational spot where tots learn and have fun!
