I am going to be going to school full time this semester, and I don't have a car. From 10:30 to 2 I have nothing to do and I wanted to know what is a good lunch that won't go bad and still taste good without being refrigerated, since there is no fridge at school? Any suggestions will help, i'm not a picky eater.

  1. PBJ sanwiches

  2. Sndwiches and french fries.

  3. Well i'd say good old peanutbutter and jelly sandwhich. God knows they'd suirvive a nuclear holocaust. Drinks are don't usually go bad so i guess whatever you like. Also if they have a microwave then ramen noodles are always good to have. For a side i'd say chips, carrots with dip sauce, an apple.

  4. Bring those frozen meals, Stouffers or lean cuisine. that kind of thing is good because there are so many kinds.Pastas, chicken, rice bowls They are frozen, and need to microwaved. This way you dont need to worry if things are going bad and you're not eating fast food junk everyday.

  5. Sandwich:

    PB&J

(or whatever else type of sandwich that you like)

    Chips:

    Any bag of chips

    Fruit:

Grapes you can bring in a tupperware container

    An Apple

    A Peach

    An Orange/Tangerine

Bananas are not a great idea though because from my experience they make all the rest of your food taste like bananas

    Snack:

    Nutrigrain bar

    Mozzerella Stick

    Fruit Rollup

    Cookies

    Crackers

    Hope this helps :)

  6. How about just picking up one of those cold-packs you stick in the freezer and put it in with your lunch to help keep it cool? There are also water bottles that come with an cold-pack insert that you freeze to keep your drink cool without diluting it. An insulated lunch bag would help, too. Avoid sandwich fillings like tuna or egg salad. (BTW, it isn't the mayo that is the bacteria maker, it's the animal protein.)

Cheese, yogurt, whole grain breads, fruits and vegetables are good choices for packing. Pasta salads and bean salads made with oil and vinegar dressings hold up well and are good at room temp. You might check out the library for a "lunchtime" cookbook for tips on food safety and recipes so you don't have to eat PB&J everyday!

  7. a sandwich with toasted bread and a big peice of #&*@   HA HA HA HA HA H

  8. I really like to make sandwiches on whole wheat Kaiser rolls. They're a bit more expensive (but still cheaper than buying lunch) and they make the sandwhich seem like something from a deli instead of plain jane.

I make half a dozen of them at a time. Then I put them in freezer baggies and stick them in the freezer. This way they stay fresh all week - or even two, and I don't have to worry about making them in the mornings.

I like to throw a banana and a yogurt in my lunch bag as well. I'm also beginning to enjoy freeze dried blueberries.
