What is a good material for face painting to resemble bark?

I want to look like a tree-person. Even if it isn't face paint, something that would work well would be much appreciated. Mixing recipes are okay, too. Whatever it is, it needs to be simple to find and not too expensive. Thanks.

i would try a clay face mask with brown coloring in it, because when it dries, it will crack and look like bark...

you may have to play around with the color you want, but i think the texture would be what you are looking for.

i don't know if prolonged exposure would dry out your skin, though- you could read the label...
