  3. Make sure you don't have mononucleosis.  This sounds like it could be a symptom of that...along with feeling totally exhausted.  

    I got mono when I was 16 and it was easier to spit than to swallow.  

    if you know it is not mono then I would recommend going to a chiropractor for a neck adjustment.  You would be surprised how many illnesses happen as a result of the atlas or cervical vertebrae being out of alignment in the neck.  

    Herbs that are good and can be heated in a tea are:

    Slippery elm, mullein, ginger and licorice root with a little brandy and honey.  Put the herbs in a muslin tea bag with the drawstring on it.  Steep the tea in hot water for 15 - 20 minutes and add the honey and brandy at the end before drinking.  Do not microwave as this will deplete the healing qualities you are using them for.
