  1. That really depends on what you'd like to do.  Languages are always useful, especially if you're planning on doing a post-graduate degree.  From your previous question, history might also be a good minor.  Just a few examples for you, of course.

  2. Depends on your career choice, you can do archaeology, forensics is also a good minor...

  3. It depends on what you want to do with your degree. Because anthropology is such a large subject field that encompasses areas such as biology, archeology, social and political organization, linguistics etc. many minors are acceptable and valuable. First figure out what kind of anthropology you favor and then figure out what your long term goals are as well as your major areas of interest.

  4. There are four sub-divisions of anthropology:  Cultural Anthropology, Linguistic Anthropology, Biological/Physical Anthropology, and Archaeology.   Your minor should go along with the area of Anthropology you want to specialize.  For example, if you are interested in Biological/Physical Anthro, great minors are Biology or Zoology.

Personally, I was interested in Cultural Anthropology and took a second major in American Indian Studies and a minor in Sociology.

  5. I think you've got pretty good answers here, it all depends on what you want to do with Anthropology, forensics, archeology, study your own society, go to foreign countries, market research... choose something that will help you in that area. If you do decide to work as an anthropologist you will probably have to do post graduate work further along the way, and continue your specialization.

  6. sociology, social psychology, biology, ethics or history

  7. I would definately say sociology because it really goes hand in hand with anthropology.

  8. Sociology

  9. My first thought was linquistics, but you're wide open with this one. What are you most interested in? What do you hope to "do" with this degree?

  10. Psychology, archaeology, primatology, sociology, biology, or human evolution, depending on your desired future occupation.

  11. Only biology and evolutionary biology is preferred. You will have to deal with too many uneducated ideologues in anthropology, so be prepared and try and improve the state of the anthropological discipline.

  12. I majored in Anthropology and minored in French and Chinese.  Languages are always helpful minors, and it diversifies your skill set.  However, you should study what you are interested in, and what kind of job you would like to have.

For example, Anthropology + a language is a good pairing if you aren't sure what you want to do with it, or if you are continuing a language from high school.

Anthropology+ Business or marketing is helpful if you would like to do market research or use it in a corporate setting.

Anthropology + history or biology if you like archeology or evolutionary science.

Anthropology+ economics for working with international economies

...and the list goes on.  Another good resource is your college counselor.  They can recommend a minor pairing that fits with your interests and your desired career path.
