What is a good mountain biking club PLEASE HELP!?

Question

does anyone know of any club i can join to go on day trips for mountain biking e.g going to pennines in Scotland and places in north wales etc.

also does anyone know of any sub £500 full suspension bikes

Hi there, to answer the first part of your question:

Join the CTC they are a national cycling club with links to even more local based clubs who actively participate in your interest as well. Also try the British Cycling Federation too - you'll get a racing licence too!

Secondly, there is a french superstore chain called Decathlon - they sell every type of sporting equipment you can think of try the link below - they have a very good range of mountain bikes too. But keep in mind if you wish to race - its easier to have a lighter weight bike too - thankfully decathlon also list the weight of the bikes too. They even measure you for your ideal bike - this is really good especially if you have back problems for instance - and its free. PLEASE CHECK OUT THE LINKS.

Lastly if you don't have a decathlon in your area then try a local shop - I personally road race now but I did have a trek mountain bike - they are light in weight.
