Question:

What is a good mx bike for a 13yr old?

im 5'3 and 13yrs old. I ride dirt bikes just for fun, but now i wanna try racing.I have a ttr-125l and a yz85 there both kinda to small. Give me some good choices of dirt bikes to start motocross racing.

  1. Hard to beat the CRF150R, but it ain't cheap. I'm surprized a YZ85 feels too small at 5'3". You are definitely too small for a 125 or 250F so the big wheel 85/100/105/150 are pretty much your only choices.


  2. Im 16 and have a Crf250r but ive heard really great things about the Crf150r  and i have heard the have lots of power so thats what i would get.

  3. get a 125 for a couple years then look into a 250f or a 250!! i would practice on a 125 for awhile until your about 15...16 then look into a 250f, 250, or 450!

  4. you could go for a 2stroke 125 or a  4stroke 250 i would go for a four stroke 250 because not much manafacturers make 125s any more

If the yz85 is too small you could try sitting on a crf150r as they are a bit more solid underneath you but may not be any taller than the yz as I think the yz85 is the tallest of all known 85cc's.  .  Otherwise you could look at a 250cc 4 stroke or a 125cc 2 stroke.  If you are okay sizewise on a 250cc 4 stroke I would suggest you go that way and the crf250r is a good bike, but then most of the known brands are good.

  7. I'd get a Honda 50......Thay are bad to the bone and FAST.  You can't go wrong with a red bike.

  8. GET A CRF150R!!! ITS GREAT!!! i race and thats what i have!!! i think i am also 5'3 and i can barely touch. i kinda have to skoot a little one way to be able to touch completely!!! but you should def. get the CRF150R!!! hey if you want check out my webpage!!!

  9. KTM 105 SX = A bit taller than an 80-85

    KX 100 = same^

    Both 2 stroke

    Maybe a CRF150R (make sure you get the "R")
