In my history class we have to do a 7 minute radio broadcast and we need a name that sounds like its from the 1940's. We also need names for our two anchors.

  1. You need to know what the show was about and such as many shows in 1940s radio were serials, variety shows and/or current event shows.

For a variety show (meaning a show like the soaps on daytime tv show) I'd use something like " The King George Edward Flour Hour" starring Ethel Martin and John Stevens

For a serial, go with something like " The unexplained mysteries of a small town"

For news go with something like "The World News as it happens" (and use a tag line such as " From the telegraph to the radio in 60 seconds or less") and use names as above

  2. over and out might work if a tad out of taste

profer jack forsster and DR mary kane-harvey  maybe?
