Edit: How about Serafina? It means "fiery ones" in Hebrew and is a form of the title for a higher group of angels (Seraphim). If you've ever read the book series, "His Dark Materials" you might recognize it as the name of one of the witches that saves Lyra. It's also a form of Sarah.

Using either as a middle name is a nice idea.  Sally is an old fashioned name but still very cute and not frumpy sounding. Maybe make it current by spelling it Sallie? Or if you go with Edna she could go by Edie for short. I do like someone's suggestion of Sadie as well, to combine the two.

well, out of Edna u can make the name Andie, which i think is a really great name 4 a girl, because its cute, but when she gets older (gasp) it wont b 2 immature. Also, out of Sally u can get Lacey (or Lacy, Lacie, etc.) which i think is really nice, too. You could also get Samantha out of Sally, and Edith out of Edna.
