  1. go to the vet and get what your vet perscribes

  2. There is no such thing that is also safe for cats.  Use Revolution, which you buy at the vets, not the cheap stuff at the stores.  It has been well tested, and keeps your cat (& you) from flea infestations - which will require even more chemicals to eradicate.  Sorry - I'm all for natural, but put Revolution in the same category as annual vaccinations - necessary  for the health of your cat

  3. Most of the "natural" remedies are not safe for cats.  Pyrethrins are natural, and perfectly safe for dogs - but can cause seizures and death in cats.  The only natural remedy that I am aware of that's safe in cats is an old-fashioned flea comb.  It works, but it won't keep the fleas from your house.   The vet-prescribed flea treatments are generally regarded as safe, and are surely better than having fleas in your house and tapeworm in your cats (fleas are the usual host for tapeworm).
