  1. My objective is to get a job...period....


  2. As the first poster said, objectives are unnecessary (because the objective is obvious). Plus, an individual resume' would have to be printed (for each position sought) as the objective would have to be responsive to the particular ad. Also, what used tobe placed in the resume' is usually stated in the cover letter.

  3. None.  The "objective" line is one which just about all experts are recommending be left out these days.  It never was useful in any way, and it is now considered an antiquated approach to resume-writing.

  4. If you want to use one regardless of the other comments on here, a simple one is:

    "To obtain a teaching position in a positive, wholesome educational facility that will benefit from my specialized training in Historical Geography"

    (that's just an example..if you wanted to teach historical geography)
