  1. I would stick with ski doo or polaris. The people i know that have cats are fixing them more than they are riding them. Furthermore, a 600cc sled will not do 125 mph unless it's a blown race sled. i had a 600 triple and it maxed out at 105. i have a 600 twin now and it maxed out at 98. A 600cc sled is probably the best size. it has enough speed and power for just about anything you need it to do.

  2. First choice would be Ski Doo and second choice would be Polaris. Arctic Cats just fall apart and yamahas...well the way they sound has always bothered me. They sound like something is wrong with them.

  3. They are all about the same in quality. If you do regular maintenance any sled it will last forever. Most opinions are bias, snowmobilers are very faith full to their brand. I like Polaris and I run it very vary hard. I lived in the snow belt near Traverse City Michigan, I used to even ride my sled to work every day so I know what I'm talking about. Like I said they are all pretty much the same, it's just a matter on how much you want to spend (you get what you pay for).

A couple of pointers: make sure you don't get one that's too heavy, if you get it stuck and they do get stuck, you will never be able to lift it out. Plus the are easier to whip around on the trail. I wouldn't get anything bigger than a 600. Mine is a 2 cycle Polaris Indy 600 Triple Triple and I can do over 125 MPH. Change the carbons on the skis for better handling. Always get studs 136 is a good number, sleds can get squirrley  without them, it will also give you better performance out of the hole. Always store them properly and check everything before you hit the trail (safety comes first).

  4. Get an Arctic Cat 440 (Jag) My uncle bought his in '88 and she runs like a dream. Also, try the Sabrecat 600 and the Mountain Cat 800.

  5. I've always liked arctic cat sleds. They last forever.

  6. there are lot of chotce here but its up to you dont know were your at but buy what you can afford rember there are many things to get once you got the sled

you need to register it put insurance on it

a good HELMET is a must have a trailer to move it and a lot of other things
