  1. For my son's first birthday we did boxed Animal crackers. The kids all loved them and all the mom's said they were glad I did that instead of a goody bag. We had kids of all ages and they all liked them :)

    Good luck!

  2. I just had my son's birthday party and I have an awesome idea that will go with the theme of your party. Buy them sunglasses. If you have a Children's Place store in your area, they have them on sale now for $1.99 a pair. These are not the cheap party store sunglasses that fall apart when they put them on their heads. They are real sunglasses. They have them in various sizes to fit everyone from an infant all the way up to probably 11ish( you may have to go elsewhere for the bigger kids!).

I came up with the idea because I hate getting the goody bags full of cheap toys and candy. I usually end up throwing everything in it out!

Another idea... I had a pool party for my son one year and gave out beach towels. I was able to find them at Anna's Linens for $3.99 each. That party was much smaller so I didn't mind spending that.

I hope these ideas help. I have found that by the time you buy goody bags, candy, and some other stuff to fill them, you have spent at least $2-3 per child anyway! It makes more sense in the long run to spend a few dollars each on one thing that they might actually use!

  3. give them the CD as a plate for the birthday cake, thn they can take them home afterwards. lol- thts an amazing ideaa. x
