We just moved into a new house and our house sits much higher than the neighbors behind us. So, unfortunately, we can see right down into their backyard and they can see right up into ours. We wanted to put up a fence made of trellises (about three 6-8 foot sections) around part of the patio and have vines or climbers that could grow on it, creating a privacy screen. We live in northern Texas (zone 7) and the area we want to put it in will get mostly full sun all day. We want something that can come back every year (or maybe be hardy in the winter?) so that we don't have to constantly plant and wait for vines to grow every spring. We would prefer not to have anything that flowers or that would attract bees since this screen will be right along the patio area. It also needs to have plenty of thick foliage to fill in the trellises. Any suggestions would be great!
