A good homemade pesticide that is organic and easily made is as follows:

Boil red pepper, onion, garlic, egg, oil, and dishwashing detergent (a small amount) for several minutes and let it steep until cool.

It has to be applied every time it rains, but most animals and insects don't like the taste of at least one of the items.

Beware using it in the spring when bees are pollinating fruit and nut trees.
