  1. Bunnys are great. Exp fixed ones lol. There very trained, very loving and cute. Your kid will adore it. Make shure you know alote about them first. They are very delicate creatures.

  2. My cousin's friend has a 3yr old sister and she owns a small bunny rabbit!

It is small,brown-ish,and a small tail!

It is adorable and its easy to take care of!

lol...make sure that once in a while it goes outside or someplace quiet so it can...potty....

  3. id say a rat

there awesome they dont live to long so u dont have to worry about them getting so attatched it kills them when they do pass on they love to eat when todlers have food they dont really bite and my niece is 2 and she loves my pet rat all she does is feed it vegies and play with im there so sweet

  4. The type of pet I would recommend for a taoddler is a fish because a toddler is very young.

  5. I'd have to say a tortoise. Toddlers can be a little rough with animals and I think a tortoise would be a good pet for that.

  6. a hamster,gerbil,ball python,corn snake,bunny,turtle,bird?,ferret

i dont know i had several first pets at the same time-i had a hamster, rabbit, bird, dog, and a turtle lol

  7. Zero. You don't get pets for toddlers. They have absolutely NO control over how to be gentle & have a tendency to squeeze too hard. Wait til your child is CONSIDERABLY older before getting a pet! As for getting a rabbit for a toddler, NO NO NO!!!!!!!!!! Rabbits are TOO FRAGILE! And they will scratch & bite if they're uncomfortable. Do yourself a favour, save an animals' life & get your child a stuffed toy. They are guaranteed not to bite!

  8. I personally love tortoises and turtle but they carry salmonella (as do a lot of animals & reptiles). So you need to be VERY careful with the handling. Tell your toddler NOT to touch face/mouth and wash hands immediately with anti-bac soap. I used to work in a pet store and one day a lady brought in a bucket of turtles, put them on the counter and said I don't want these anymore. Her daughter was in the hospital with salmonella poisoning. So I ended up with them. Now, I have 3 kids, they look but they don't touch. When they get older I will let them help.

Here are suggestions from other people:

Just remember to pick something you would like to have as well. Often you will be the one who really do the cleaning & caring for the new pet. :)

I would go with a guinea pig. They hardly ever bite, live long, and make cute purring and "weeping" sounds when you pet them or feed them! Most kids love the funny sounds!

Rats are the best pets for kids. They are the smartest most affectionate and sweetest of all he rodents. The only down side on them is that they are not very cute.

I have been bitten by so many hamsters, I would never let my kids have any. Just personal preference.

    Good luck to you!

    Edit:

***WOW Don't you TD fairies have anything better to do????

Guess not, go find something to do.*****

  9. A ginne pig! I had one when I was lil his name was pigglet I did everything w/ him and their really good pets.

  10. Holland lop rabbits they weigh under 4 pounds they do not bite and loves to cuddle. We searched the very same thing 2 years ago for the same reason and finally found these wonderful rabbits.

  11. I just bought my daughter a mini rex bunny, she loves her. My daughter is 3 years old, she helps with the cleaning of the cage and feeding of the bunny, once the bunny got use to her, she will lay down in my daughter's lap and she will pet her.
