Question:

What is a good photo editor software?

I got a new digital SLR camera and it works great. I was just wanting a good software program to make my pictures look professional. I would like the software to be able to stack pictures for a more clear photo.

If anyone has recommendations I would be very happy to hear them.

Thanks!

  1.   If you are shooting in RAW format, it is good to get wonderful pictures rather than take in jpeg format.

If it is a Nikon SLR, shoot in NEF ie RAW format and the software CATURE NX will make it better than an Adobe photoshop. But you need a Photoshop to make other works on it.

If you use a Canon, they will supply the RAW convering software free with that.

if you use some other camera, Better you use a CAPTURE ONE LE software or its modified versions.

  2. hi. you should try gimpshop its exactly like photoshop but its free

  3. PhotoShop.   It is expensive around a thousand bucks.

Your camera may have come with PhotoShop Elements, check the box for a cd.  Otherwise, purchase PS Elements unless you are a serious photographer.

  4. As mentioned, the professional look comes from the photographer.

Adobe Photoshop is the standard, but it doesn't make much sense to recommend when it cost more than the camera. Adobe Photoshop Elements is a good choice at less than $100, Adobe Express is a new on-line editor you can use free. Paint.net ( http://www.getpaint.net/ ) is a good free image editor to have on your computer. If you want a more advanced -strong learning curve- free program, try Gimp.

You can stack/layer images in any good editor. If you are referring to high dynamic range (HDR) images, that can be achieved using the same programs. Also, there is software specifically designed for HDR and many free tutorials online. Learn what HDR is http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutoria... and decide how you want to pursue creating it.

  5. photoshop cs3 without a doubt look around on lime-wire and torrent sites to find it

  6. You may be disappointed if you are depending upon a photo program to "make" your photos look professional.  That is all done in the camera.   Perhaps more importantly, the camera doesn't even matter that much ... up to a point

What makes photos professional (and look professional) is a couple of years of classes in photography (usually, although there are those who use the usually frustrating trial and error method) and many years of experience so that everything that comes out of the camera is professional looking.

Pros (photographers, pre-press and post production wizards) use Photoshop CS3 ($700) or CS Extended ($1000)

  7. It will take more than software to make your photos look professional if you aren't capable of doing that in the camera and stacking pictures wont make a bad photo any more clearer.

Instead of looking for software, work your way through the new camera manual and learn how to use the camera properly then you might find you don't even need editing software.

But if you want a good photo editing program to experiment with try totally free PhotoPlus 6 from here - http://www.freeserifsoftware.com/softwar...

  8. I have recommendations, although they aren't cheap.  Adobe CS3 is fantastic. Paint Shop Pro is good for something cheaper.  You can download a trial version of Adobe CS3 on adobe.com.  Something basic is a Kodak Easyshare...like I said basic though.  Can't really do much.  Adobe CS3 you can do tons of things and there are tutorials online that will show or tell you how!

  9. The best is Photoshop

    As iam useing
