What is a good place to do work experience in SE London??

Question

I am having my work experience done next march however if i wanna get a good placement i will have to book now otherwise everyone will take good places and i will need to work in Asda :-(

I am thinking of going to the reptile shop in charlton Village, Also how does the whole system work? do you get paid??

Work experince is to get you used to working, unfortunatly you do not get paid as I found out. Theres manys things in London you can work with. I would suggest that you search the internet for jobs in London because chance has they will accept you for work experince. Good luck :)

I am like you but a year older.

I leave school soon.

I have done my work expirience.

Key points to note!

1) Unfortuanetly you DONT get paid

2) It is crucial to get a good placement as it helped me a lot to know i was in good hands and being treated right.

3) Usually work expirience is 2 weeks long when a student will stay at a workplace during working hours not school hours.

4) You will be expected to meet company policies like dress code, punctuality, breaks, work done..

5) It is very important to pick somewhere you enjoy. FOr instance a reptile shop could be just for you but for me that could be a very dull 2 weeks.

6) Transport costs will not be covered. Therefore choose somewhere fairly local.

7) Treat your placement with respect. This is because it is very good oppurtunity to see what work it all about in the big world...

8) Try not to be distracted by friends to go somewhere you dont want too..
