Bowling, or isf you have a laser tag place, that will let your kiddo's have the place to them self for about 45 mins.. it is great!

How about a skating rink? Park? Bowling Alley (with the bumpers)?  Aquarium or tidepools?

Is it a boy or girl party? For girls I would suggest a build a bear party or a Libby Lu party, then you can eat at a Red Robin afterwards..... I don't know for boys.... Look in the phone book. There are some places that have indoor playgrounds and offer birthday parties.

If you are lucky enough to have a "Ci Ci's Pizza nearby,   try that.  They are cheap, selfserve, large variety of pizza and salad, plus most have a good sized playroom for the kids.

  I believe the price is $4.49+$1.19 for drinks.  Playroom machines are extra.

A lot of cities have those indoor play places that have the bouncy jumpy things, and you usually get a discount for birthday parties.

Bowling alley is a great place to go and very inexpensive. Skating rinks are all right, but you would need several parents to assist as six-year-olds tend to need an extra pair of hands. I have done both-my choice-bowling!

when i was little i had my birthday part at a gymnatics gym. i remember that being lots of fun.

If you have a Jeepers near you those are fun too

bowling is another option

and you can always have one at your house if you get a moonbounce or a magician or pony rides or something fun like that

I loved water slides and now they have fancy water parks. Even the small town 60,000 people where I live has two fun water parks with cool slides I would die for as a kid. :)

If it is for a girl you can go to the hair salons that cater to children.  They will do everyone's hair and throw a beauty pageant.  It is so much fun!
