  1. Watch on http://www.expedia.com.

Pay attention when you'll be there and good luck.

  2. I'm not sure why you want to go to Naples?? I was completely disappointed with it. The trash on the sides of the streets was just amazing. The only thing good I got was of  going through Pompeii and climbing Mt. Vesuvius. If I went again I wouldn't waste my time with Naples I would venture up north more. You could spend days in Rome and still not see everything.

As far as renting a car.....I wouldn't do it. The driver there are CRAZY. They don't know the meaning of a red light, and the sidewalks to them are also part of the road. We found it alot easier to just walk or take taxis.

Be careful with you are there, watch your belongings closely.

  3. Look:

    www.hrs.de

    www.hotel.de

  4. Don't listen to people like "Nik Nik".  Napoli is an ancient city and it is the people, the art, the culture, the language and the singing that make this city a truly remarkable place to visit.

In answer to your question there are some pricy hotels in Piazza Garibaldi right near Napoli Centrale (central railway station).  However Lonely Planet lists some interesting and worth while places to stay at which you can acccess using the trams and buses.

A word of warning, 1/ the cab drivers will fleece you. 2/  There are theives galour in Napoli (but there are far more honest people around).

If you have a few days to spare why don't you get the Number 1 Tram to Mollobeverello (port) and catch a ferry to ISCHIA.  It is the sister island to Capri and is just a fantastic place to visit.  there are many beaches (Maronti is my favourite), health spas, lots and lots of eateries, and the people are a lot more friendlier (if somewhat ecccentric - I should now because my parents came from there :)

There is a camping ground if that is your budget or you could check out www.ischiaonline.com and they have a link to Last Minute for budget deals.

Good luck because once you have holidayed in the "casa del mezzagiorno" your life will feel all the more richer.

May the universe smile upon you.

  5. I've stayed at the Hotel Royal Continental and it was lovely.  It's in one of the few 'safe' parts of town and faces directly upon the bay of Naples and the Castle.  We stayed on the Continental side in a bay view room and is was a fabulous deal for what we paid.  Really, we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful room.  I've stayed in less impressive junior suites at 3 times the price.

I will say that I know several other people who have stayed there and been not as lucky with their room.  They did not pay for the better room and ended up in the old side on the hotel with a room facing the fire escape.
