  1. A hotel?

  2. Hotel Hollywood by the Trive fountain - great and ask for a room with a bathroom.

  3. My daughter and I stayed at  " Planet 29" about three years ago and it was very nice, nothing fancy but it had everything we needed. It's within 2 blocks of the station. I just checked the prices and it's about 93 euro.

  7. Definitely do not chince on a hotel in Rome or you might get stuck in not only a bad area, but also a bad hotel.  My husband and I spent 125 Euro a night, and it was kind of a dump.  I would say any hotel chains would be good, or definitely NEAR one of the popular areas or piazza's.  150 Euro a night might work depending on the time or year you are going...but you might want to budget for about 200 Euro to be in a safe or nice place.  Check out either the Frommer's or Fodor's websites for more detailed information.

    Good Luck!

  8. October is high season  and want a Fri/Sat night stay - don't expect a luxury hotel for your budget. Many places will already be booked Try Gulliver's Lodge (www.gulliverslodge.com) or search by price at www.rometravelcafe.com.

  9. You can find some nice apartments for that budget in http://www.sleepinrome.it
