  1. a redwood tree

  2. Use grass seed. Why would lake water kill a plant when many places get the towns water supply from lakes. Maybe come up with a harder question to study. Something like: Does the lack of sunlight affect how grass seeds sprout, or will they sprout anyway?

    The Sun warms the spirit.

  3. Use a radish. look it up I'am not going to do your work for you.

  4. Hemp if it's legal.

They grow fast in varied environments + they can actually be used for useful things.

Else Bamboo, again it will grow fast and has many useful properties/history. Just be careful not to contaminate your local woodlands with it as it is difficult to remove.

  5. when I was doing my experiments with plants I used Coleus.you can get then in the house plant area and the garden sections too.really cheap and sooo easy to care for.very hardy plants.good luck : )
