  1. Draw a quantity of a number and tell the kid to tell you what number it is.

  2. Hop scotch, is always a fun game for kids, and the learn numbers while playing it.

  3. Counting raisins during snacktime sounds like fun.

A reward for someone who finds something fun to count?

  4. Whatever your theme is for the day (such as groundhogs since that is coming up) - make enough for each child in the class - put numbers on them and have the children find them. Then challenge them to line up according to their numbers. We do this almost every month with a different character and it's amazing how good they get at it and I love the cooperative play because they are all helping each other to figure out which number comes next. Sometimes it's wrong -but we always have fun and learn!

  5. Here are some good activities:

  6. Put duct tape on the floor, in to numbers such as 1-10. Have blocks for them to put around the duct tape. Put them in order from least to greatest. Make sure they do it in order.

  7. you can use like m&m's and start a contest....students count how many pieces you have placed in front of them and the team with most points or the person who said the correct answer first would get a prize.....ü sounds a bit weird but that might helpü
