  1. of course copper, Brass and Gunmetal

  2. in Connecticut, USA copper is near $3lb for #2 copper. wire is considerably less if it has insulation <$1lb. Brass is high at just under $2lb. Im not sure of aluminum but the last time i brought any to the scrap yard it wasn't nearly as much as copper. Stainless steel is just slightly more than steel, where steel is like $0.40lb or so. The money in scrap is in specialty metals, alloys, tool steel ect.

    Metals have been going up for quite some time, its good to be in the scrap bussiness i guess!

  3. uk;

    looks like they have levelled off for now, after massive rises over last year or so.

  4. Copper, I can't help you with but aluminum, depending on where you go could be 70 or 80 cents per pound.

  5. For metal prices I used check the URL

    http://www.recycleinme.com/scrapresource... They used to update all the prices regularly. May be this could be useful to anyone in the scrap trade

  6. Scrap Metal Prices vary based on quality and quantity and your location in the world.  They also fluctuate each day based on commodity prices. Copper is upwards of $3.50 per lb, aluminum is upwards of $1.30 and Steel & Iron is upwards of $500 per ton.

    For current scrap metal prices for various non ferrous and ferrous metals I use  http://www.scrapmetalpricesandauctions.c...
