i am a college swimmer who will be going to the Junior College state championships and i need to get a suit. i will be swimming the 200 free, the 500 free, the 200 back, and the 100 back. but the problem is i don't know which suit would be better for my races. i know i am going to go with the speedo fastskin but i don't know which one to get, the pro waist to ankles or the fastskin 2 shoulders to ankles. the reason it is between those to is.....well it comes down to money and those are about the price i am willing to pay. any help would be greatly appreciated.

  1. I wear a jammer and like it.  No one knows how much the racing suits actually help, so it probably comes down to what feels good to you/what you'll feel most pumped up wearing.

  2. aquablade or fastskin is the best, but ask your coach which one they think you should get. If you have shaved your chest and back, then just get waist to ankles. but if not, get the fullbody.

The events that your swimming are my favorite events to swim, good luck!

  3. Fastskin is too expensive unless you are trying to qualify for the Olympics.

I would just go with the suit you normally wear, you are an experienced swimmer, go with whatever you do in Speedo or TYR.

  4. Check out this website for good prices on Fastskins

  5. I'd go with the waist to ankles suit. What happens with backstroke is that when you have the suit that goes to your shoulders it doesn't allow the same kind of rotation that you can get with nothing there at all.
