What is a good reason to become a Navy SEAL?

If you are/were a SEAL, what was your reason for joining?

they are the best of the best,  great benefits and just being one is awesome

First I am not a SEAL - however I would assume that the reason anyone joins any elite unit is to be the best of the best and serve in a capacity that few others could or would do.

To serve your country among its elite forces.

To be any kind of special forces person you have to be a special person. Being a SEAL is very respected and honored. You do very elite missions, and go through extensive intense training.
