What is a good recipe for vegetarian chicken soup?

Just found out my in-laws are coming over for the 4th of July weekend. One of them is a vegetarian, so I bought a chicken at the grocery store. I have steaks for the rest of us since we are not vegetarians. I have the chicken thawing on the kitchen counter and thought I would jump on Yahoo! Answers and get a quick recipe. Thanks for any help.

Vegetarians don't eat chicken.

Vegetarians don't eat animals.

While culinarily speaking, chicken is "poultry" rather than "meat," it is still animal flesh. Same goes for fish, shellfish, turkeys, pork, gelatin, and a bunch of other things.

You should find out pretty darned quick if she's actually a vegetarian. (There are pollotarians who eat birds but not other meats.)

Vegetarians don't eat the flesh of any animals. The chicken you bought was an animal. Chicken is something that vegetarians won't eat because it is meat.

sorry, vegetarians don't eat ANY meat. What gave you the idea that they don't eat chicken?

edit: woops i worded that wrong. i meant to say, "what gave you the idea that vegetarians eat chicken?"

actually no......vegetarians don't eat chicken...they don't eat animals at all. try a vegetarian soup like cream of mushroom or potato, lentil, etc.

Umm..vegetarians don't eat animals.  I don't understand why that idea is so hard to grasp.  Part of me is saying that you are a troll because nobody can really think that a dead bird is OK for a VEGetarian to eat.

Um it seems to me you are under the impression chicken is not meat. If this is correct. Then I'm sorry, you are wrong.
