What is a good reed for oboe??

Question

I play mediums and medium softs but i was wondering what a good band of reeds is. I will NEVER use rico reeds again so don't say rico. I also have emerald reeds and those are pretty good so what is a good reed with an acceptable price?

HI again ZG!!!   Have you tried the Jones brand oboe read?   That is the one that I have used.  But can I give you a suggestion?    Google Woodwind & Brasswind to get their 1800 number.  Call them and request a Woodwind catalog to be sent to your house.   They sell all kinds of accessories for all of the woodwind instruments, including oboe.   You can see all of the varieties of reeds available and also order by phone.  I have used and trusted this company for a long time and they have been in business for.. maybe 30 years.   They have a good reputation.   Hope that helps.   Thanks for adding me and I added you.   :))
